Friendswood Realty

With a growing population of 34,000 residents, Friendswood, Texas is one of Houston's most popular suburbs. This former Quaker colony was voted as one of the top 100 places to live in America by CNN's Money Magazine. Even though Friendswood realty is growing exponentially in popularity, this community still manages to maintain the small-town feel that is appealing to young families, single professionals, and empty-nesters alike. Due to the increasing notoriety of this Houston suburb, it helps to gain assistance from Friendswood Realtors who are intimately familiar with the area.

Brief History of Friendswood, Texas

In 1895, Frank J. Brown and Thomas H. Lewis founded Friendswood as a Quaker colony, and today, Friendswood is currently the headquarters for the Houston area Quaker Society. In July of 1895, Brown and Lewis later purchased a 1,538-acre tract of land in Northern Galveston County from J.C. League. They registered the name "Friendswood" with the Galveston County courthouse and so the first piece of Friendswood realty was formed. Today, the community is growing by leaps and bounds into a thriving Houston suburb.
